Ruby Gilbert Barnes Scholarship Guidelines

The availability of scholarship monies will be based on funds available from interest of the endowment fund.
Applications for this scholarship will be reviewed by the Hayes Barton School of Music Board after considering a recommended action offered by the School of Music Director. The Board may consider time-sensitive applications through an electronic vote, such as email. When considered electronically, applications will be presented to the Board without identifying personal information, including an applicant’s name.
The Hayes Barton Baptist School of Music Boards determinations will be based on the following criteria:

- The applicant or the applicant’s parents must be members of Hayes Barton Baptist Church and be enrolled in the Hayes Barton School of Music.
- The applicant should demonstrate musical desire and talent.
- Scholarships granted by the Board terminate at the end of each semester, unless the Board sets an earlier termination date, or the award recipient is no longer enrolled.
