WOMEN’S MINISTRY AT HBBC
The women’s ministry at HBBC seeks to empower women to grow in their faith and connect to one another. Our desire is to create the space and opportunities for women to connect with God, to one another, their community, and the world. We hope that these opportunities allow women to share and learn from one another and to experience the diversity and richness of the body of believers.

YOUNG WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
IN-PERSON | Various Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in Room 200
If you are looking for a place to connect with other young women (under 35), build community, and study the Bible, this might be the place for you. We will meet twice a month during the remainder of 2026—September 23, October 7 and 14, November 4 and 18, and December 2. Jane Lyon and Kristen Muse will facilitate the group. We’ll begin by looking at the stories of various women in the Bible. Email Kristen (kmuse@hbbc.org) if you have any questions.
WOMEN’S MONTHLY BIBLE STUDY
HYBRID | Second Tuesday of the month at 10:45 AM
We will gather for a time of Bible study and conversation. We are an easy, friendly, and welcoming group. Our meditation is Bible-based. You don’t need a book, just your own Bible, and there is no homework! We pray that you will be uplifted and inspired by our time together. Hutzler leads the group each month. WOMEN’S MONTHLY MISSIONS LUNCHEON AND DINNER
IN-PERSON | Tuesday, November 10 at 12:00 PM or 6:00 PM in Hailey Hall
Our Women’s Missions now holds two monthly meetings to ensure every woman can participate in Women’s Missions. We will now offer two monthly meeting options – making it easier for those with daytime commitments to be involved and connected. You can choose the time that works best for your schedule: the day luncheon meeting at 12:00 PM or the evening dinner meeting at 6:00 PM. Both groups will gather for a wonderful time of fellowship and a delicious meal from Chicken Salad Chick. Following our meal, we will roll up our sleeves for a hands-on mission project.
This month we will pack Heartwarming Bags filled with essential cleaning supplies and hygiene and care products. These necessities are a major expense for women facing poverty – especially since they cannot be purchased using welfare benefit assistance programs. All Heartwarming Bags will be given to the Caring Connections Ministry, an incredible organization that provides emotional support and life and job development services to women in need.
Come for the food and fellowship and stay to make a tangible difference in the lives of women in our community. The cost for lunch or dinner is $8. EQUIPPING WOMEN LUNCHEON
IN-PERSON | Wednesday, October 28 at 12:00 PM at Carolina Country Club
Search Raleigh invites you to join us for a special luncheon to strengthen Christian women as they engage with non-Christians and initiate conversations about faith. In our time together, you will:
- Be inspired by Billie Redmond, who has been building relationships with non-Christians for 15 years
- Discover the value of the ‘one’ and the barriers to faith Search has identified over 50 years
- Be equipped with free resources to answer the hard questions about God
WOMEN’S MINISTRY FALL GATHERING: OVERWHELMED AND RUNNING ON EMPTY
IN-PERSON | Thursday, November 19 from 6:00-8:00 PM in Hailey Hall
Many women appear capable and composed while quietly carrying an exhausting mental, emotional, and spiritual load. In this encouraging, Scripture-centered message, we will consider how God meets us at our limits with compassion rather than condemnation and learn to recognize what is ours to carry, what should be shared, and what must be surrendered to Him. Through biblical teaching, practical reflection, and meaningful conversation, women will leave feeling seen, encouraged, and equipped to take their next faithful step with Christ. It will be an evening filled with good food, fellowship, and inspiration as Haley Yow, Christian speaker, writer, life and executive function coach, and clinical mental health counseling intern, helps us to dive deeper into this topic.
