Music Reading for Adults Beginners Registration (fall)
Have you always wondered what those notes in the hymnal mean or why some sounds are held longer than others in a song? If so, this class is for you!
If you can recite the alphabet from A to G and count from 1 to 4, you already have the skills to get started! You will learn how to place notes on the music staff, where these notes are on a piano keyboard and the different note values that make a melody rhythmically interesting. You do not need a piano or keyboard at home for this class.
Jennie Vance, retired music professor from Meredith College, will teach 8 one-hour sessions. These classes will be limited to five people and cost $180. Contact Lisa Moxley (lmoxley@hbbc.org) for more information.
