WOMEN’S MINISTRY AT HBBC
The women’s ministry at HBBC seeks to empower women to grow in their faith and connect to one another. Our desire is to create the space and opportunities for women to connect with God, to one another, their community, and the world. We hope that these opportunities allow women to share and learn from one another and to experience the diversity and richness of the body of believers.
OPPORTUNITIES
Women’s Thursday Night Bible Study
VIRTUAL | Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 PM
Alice Moore and Jennifer Haigwood lead this group throughout the year. Studies change, but often include a video to watch and study throughout the week with the ladies joining on Thursdays to discuss and learn from one another. Participants often purchase materials on their own. If you would like to join the group or need more information, contact Alice Moore (alicemoore0428@gmail.com) or Jennifer Haigwood (jennifer.haigwood@gmail.com).
Women’s Monthly Bible Study
HYBRID | Second Tuesday of the month at 10:45 AM
We will gather for a time of Bible study and conversation. We are an easy, friendly, and welcoming group. Our meditation is Bible-based. You don’t need a book, just your own Bible, and there is no homework! We pray that you will be uplifted and inspired by our time together. Hutzler leads the group each month. If you have any questions or need the Zoom link, contact Kristen Muse (kmuse@hbbc.org or 919-645-6722).
Women’s Monthly Missions Luncheon
LUNCHEON – IN-PERSON | Tuesday, February 10 at 12:00 PM in Hailey Hall

If you have any questions, contact Cathy Eller (celler@hbbc.org or 919-833-4617).
Women’s Retreat
Seasons of Change, Psalm 139
IN-PERSON | IN-PERSON | February 27-March 1, 2026 at Rizzo Center, Chapel Hill
Are you in the empty nest season? Do you have young children and feel like a constant taxi driver? Are you transitioning into retirement? Are you trying to discover your career path? Are you caring for aging parents? Do you attend more funerals than weddings or baby showers? Do you wonder why aging is so difficult? No matter what season of life we are in, God is present. He knows us, loves us, and has a word for us. Join us as we gather together with women of all ages, in all the seasons, to be challenged and inspired by the Scriptures and one another. Faithe Beam, Vice President for Spiritual Life at Campbell University, will lead us on this journey. The retreat begins with dinner on Friday evening and ends with worship on Sunday. The cost for a double room is $350, and a single room is $400. Price includes lodging, most meals, snacks, and retreat expenses. If you have any questions, please contact Kristen Muse (kmuse@hbbc.org).
